The good weather has given us an opportunity to begin forging some new trails as well as expanding on some old trails. We've had the bulldozer for over a month, so hopefully the public will be pleased with the latest modifications.
A visit from the EPA
The EPA stopped in for an inspection since our last meeting. They looked over our lakes, trail crossings, and external artifacts (tanks and pumps that are not owned by us). The good news is that after a thorough review by over a dozen agents, we had no issues, no fines, no violations; overall, a clean bill of health.
Hollerwood currently offers primitive camping on-site. We recently added rentable fire pits to help with guest comfort and to help address some of our trash problems. We're also working on adding electricity to the camping area. This is a much larger item, so it may take a bit longer... But the benefit of having electricity at the camp sites will be worth the wait.
We're working on new shirts for the park. We've nearly depleted our initial stock from the Fall, so now is a great time to restock and redesign. We're working with local designers to gather ideas for some new shirts, so stay tuned.
