Dozers for daysThe board approved money for more bulldozer work for the park. We're working on trails, working on the parking lot, but most importantly, working on making the park better. Adjusting pass pricesThe board discussed adjusting the price for passes. The motivation is that the board has always been to make this park a safe, fun, and sustainable place for outdoor recreation. As part of making the park sustainable, we need to generate enough revenue to pay all of our expenses; most significantly our lease payment. At our current pricing model, we're unable to meet our lease payment obligation, even though we've had an enthusiastic few months of being open. We want to make this project self-sustainable, and modifying our pricing structure is the only way we can accomplish this goal at this time. The new pricing model is $75 per annual vehicle price, $40 per monthly vehicle price, and $10 for non-motorized recreation, like fishing, climbing, and mountain biking. The new price goes in to effect immediately. Being good neighborsThe board heard again from some of our neighbors who had complaints about noise and unruly behavior. The board discussed what can be done to address their issues. We continue working with law enforcement to make sure that we have a safe and respectful park that everyone can enjoy. In addition to working at law enforcement, we will be deploying more signage to ensure people are aware of the rules of the park. Management ContractThe board renewed the management contract for KRCA, LLC. until September 30th, 2020. The terms were adjusted to be go from 60% Hollerwood/40% KRCA, LLC. to 67% Hollerwood/33% KRCA, LLC.
